Multi-Skilled Maintenance Fitter

About the Role

You will carry out multi-skilled maintenance tasks across the site including preventative, predictive and reactive maintenance. This role is proactive in driving improvements in maintenance methods and techniques in keeping with standards of quality, safety and hygiene. You will work closely with the production team to ensure daily goals are achieved, ensuring equipment is set optimally and IT interfaces are functional.

Key Responsibilities

• Operation, preventative/corrective maintenance and continuous improvement of all mechanical facilities and utility equipment to achieve maximum availability and reliability
• Perform full range of plant maintenance tasks and repairs on a proactive/planned and reactive basis
• Maintenance fitter work in a busy high-speed manufacturing environment
• Employ predictive maintenance techniques (thermographic imaging, vibration analysis) to achieve benchmark plant reliability
• Follow safe systems of work including PPE, permits, and risk assessments
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives in predictive maintenance techniques
• Implement and maintain Maintenance Management Systems to log faults, report potential problem areas, generate work orders and log completed work
• Work with EHS personnel to implement and maintain safe working practices
• Provide technical support for machine maintenance, installations, and modifications
• Respond to breakdowns, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults

Requirements

• Relevant Trade qualification (essential)
• Diagnostic troubleshooting and problem analysis skills
• Good knowledge of maintenance processes within a plant environment
• Thorough understanding of EHS and safety culture
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
